Update and Useful Migraine Related Weblinks
This week I decided to buy myself a Mueller ice pack through a sports physiotherapy website that you can find here .
I decided I really needed to improve on my packet of frozen sweetcorn idea, as last time I used that for a migraine, it leaked sweetcorn juice all over my hair !!
The great thing about this medical ice pack is that I'll be able to take it on holiday. Because travelling to a holiday destination is always guaranteed to give me a terrible migraine.
It's because of this that I've come to realise my migraines have to be connected to temperature control and dehydration.
Because typically when I travel, I won't drink as much fluid as usual, so's not to need the bathroom at inconvenient times. But after my last headache, and realising that they are getting progressively worse, I've decided I have to change my routine before travelling. Because, reluctantly I realise I really must manage my migraines better.
While surfing home remedies for migraine, I came across a Yahoo webpage with some very helpful advice, that I mentioned earlier. You can visit it here.
The last one is where I learned about the connection between migraine and nasal nerves. I shall have to read more about that.
I also plan to read more concerning the connection between migraine and salt, that I read about here.
If scroll down the page you'll find 10 very interesting replies to the question posed.
On a more personal note: today was not so good for me. My head is quite bruised but my thinking was incredibly clear, after I had some lunch.
I was thinking about what was out of the ordinary leading up to my last awful headache and I think two things spring to mind.
1. I was rushing around a lot. Trying to do too many jobs at once, perhaps?
2. I was urinating a lot. Like every hour! This has decreased since my migraine attack. Sorry to add gory personal details but my pee was very light leading up to my migraine too, now it's the right colour again.
The vein on my right temple is still very pronounced and kind of hot.
I had to make a lot of phone calls today and I noticed during one particular, stressful conversation, that my head began to throb again, momentarily. I decided to curtail the call at that point, as the conjecture was just to much for me at this time of recovery.
