I'm feeling much better today and found I had a really good night's sleep and felt refreshed this morning.
I was reading that migraine is connected to the nerves in your nose and that if you poke a q-tip up your nose, it will cause a reflex that will alleviate migraine pain. I will find the link to that post and put it up on here.
My hands are very painful though, especially the right hand the struck the right side of my head, because it was numb, I struck it harder. I always get migraines on the right side of my head. I am left handed by the way.
I'm very shocked at what happened during this latest attack, but in a funny kind of way, I'm less frightened now about my next migraine, because I've learnt something new about human endurance and about myself and how much pain I can actually live through and not die.
I remember I blew my nose quite hard during the attack, in fact it was near the end, and I suppose I will always wonder if that was what finally ended it?
The other strange thing I noticed was that a vein on my temple had become extremely pronounced during the attack and the whole day afterwards. I'm now wondering if migraine is just another term for varicose veins of the brain??????
